The Untainted Mirror

We step into the quiet, side by side,

to strip the heavy mask of mind away

The dusty glass where ego used to hide

begins to clear its film of yesterday

We close our eyes to let the outer fade,

and stand before the mirror we have made

A sudden breath, a cry, a graceful sway—

no longer caught in thought's reflective gleam

The Latihan begins to wash away

the mirrored shadows of our waking dream

It is a glass that does not show a face,

but captures the Great Life in empty space

And when the stillness settles in the hall,

we find the polished surface clean and bare

No longer locked behind the ego’s wall,

the true, untainted soul is standing there

A mirror of the force that gives us breath,

reflecting life that triumphs over death
